  • Analyze customer situation to develop requirements
  • Gather technical requirements for the purpose of designing a network to be deployed
  • Develop and provide designs in line with requirements
  • Write High- and Low-Level Design documents based on gathered requirements for guidance and reference during and after Arista network deployment
  • Implementation and migration planning detail and support
  • Write and execute test plans for purpose of validating newly deployed Arista Networks once the deployment is complete to ensure new infrastructures can carry production network traffic
  • Work with customers to plan, write, and execute Methods of Procedure documents outlining steps to seamlessly migrate production network traffic from legacy infrastructure to the newly deployed Arista Network Fabric
  • Perform Knowledge Transfer training on Arista network designs, platforms, and features to Arista Professional Services customers
  • Ongoing operational support to the customer
  • Develop professional relationships with customers to assist them with Arista solution deployment projects
  • Assist project management in developing project plans to track deployment project task execution, communication cadence with customers, and timelines
  • Travel to customer locations as and when required

Required Qualifications

  • Cleared TS/SCI Eligible - Active within the last 2 years
  • 10+ years of industry experience focused on IP networks
  • Arista EOS and CloudVision Portal experience
  • Led and delivered several projects including greenfield implementations, complex migrations and integration efforts
  • Specializing in design and deployment of industry-leading networking solutions
  • Ability to develop accurate and meaningful requirements
  • High- and Low-Level Design experience for Spine & Leaf infrastructure
  • Advanced network protocol knowledge, especially BGP, EVPN, VXLAN, MPLS and SR
  • Linux operating system and scripting knowledge
  • Experience of delivering technical and operational training to customers

Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic/Advanced Python programming skills
  • A computer science (or similar) degree
  • CCIE and/or JNCIE certifications/ equivalents, security certifications such as CISSP/equivalents
  • Excellent written and verbal skills

About the role

As a Senior Manager of Public Sector Customer Success, you will help lead our Federal Customer Success team at Okta. We’re looking for a proactive leader who thrives in a scaling organization, is excited about working cross-functionally, and can inspire their team and customers. They will possess a deep understanding of customer relationship management, a proven track record of managing and growing large enterprise accounts, and the ability to develop and execute strategies that drive customer satisfaction, retention, and expansion.

  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of Customer Success Managers, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback. Foster a collaborative and customer-focused culture within the team.
  • Strategic Vision: Help define and execute a strategy that aligns with Okta’s overall business goals, focusing on customer retention, satisfaction, and revenue growth. Equip Customer Success Managers with the tools, playbooks, and guidance to deliver exceptional results across onboarding, adoption, renewals, and expansion.
  • Customer Value: Deploy strategies that focus on customer value identification and accelerated value realization, ensuring customers are achieving success with Okta.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with Sales, Product, Customer Support, Professional Services, and Marketing teams to drive customer engagement and ensure a seamless customer journey from onboarding through renewal.
  • Revenue Optimization: Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities, working in partnership with the Sales team to maximize customer lifetime value and drive revenue growth.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership or management capacity.
  • 10+ years of experience in Customer Success, Account Management, or other similarly customer-centric roles with the Public Sector.
  • Understands the government's technical considerations and cloud computing security requirements.

Below is the annual On Target Compensation (OTE) range for candidates located in California, Colorado, New York, and Washington. Your actual OTE, which is inclusive of base salary and incentive compensation, will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable) and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Specialist to drive the growth of our Cortex and Cloud business across the region.

The ideal candidate will operate in a high-growth environment at scale, thrive in driving innovation,

have a solid background in cybersecurity sales, and a deep understanding of security solutions.

They will have a proven track record of developing strong customer relationships and executing

strategies that support rapid expansion and success. This role requires a strategic thinker who

excels in collaboration with internal teams, engages effectively with customers, and drives revenue

growth through the sale of complex solutions.

  • Take full ownership of leading strategic sales campaigns, sales forecasting, utilizing in-depth knowledge of sales cycles from initial contact through procurement.
  • Engage in deep technical discussions beyond standard sales presentations and pitches; while translating complex technical cybersecurity solutions into clear business value propositions for customers.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including sales engineers, to provide tailored customer-centric solutions.
  • Partner with Alliances to develop joint strategies, enhance customer engagement and deliver innovative solutions for existing and prospective clients.
  • Travel domestically as needed to meet with customers and attend key business events

Your Experience:

  • 5+ years of field sales experience focusing on key customer accounts and delivering value to Enterprise or Major-level accounts in the cybersecurity industry.
  • Extensive platform selling experience in complex sales with multiple buying centers.
  • Experience selling SIEM, EDR or CNAPP (DevSecOps, CloudOps) solutions is highly preferred.
  • Established trusted relationships with CIOs and CISOs with the ability to influence and drive strategic conversations
  • Expertise in applying complex solution sales methodologies to drive results.
  • Experience working with channel partners and a deep understanding of a channel-centric go-to-market strategy.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment while collaborating effectively with sales engineers and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience operating in a continuous adoption, expansion, and upsell sales motion within a matrixed sales organization is preferred
  • Willingness to travel domestically as necessary to meet business needs.

Compensation Disclosure

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $256,000/yr to $352,000/yr.
