We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cybersecurity Engineer with expertise in the review, deployment, and hardening of Software as a Service (SaaS) Applications. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in implementing and managing robust security measures to ensure the secure configuration and compliance of SaaS applications, and be intrinsically motivated to learn new technologies and tools to move security forward within the CoStar Enterprise. Located in Washington, DC or Richmond, VA and offers a hybrid schedule of 3 days onsite, 2 days remote.

SaaS Security Configuration:

  • Assess, design, and implement security configurations for various SaaS applications to meet industry best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure integration and utilization of SaaS solutions.

Continuous Monitoring:

  • Implement and manage continuous monitoring solutions for SaaS applications to detect and respond to security incidents promptly.
  • Develop and maintain real-time visibility into the security posture of our SaaS environment.

Compliance Management:

  • Ensure that SaaS applications adhere to regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to validate compliance with security policies and regulations.

Identity and Access Management (IAM):

  • Implement and manage IAM controls for SaaS applications, ensuring secure and efficient access to authorized users.
  • Enforce the principle of least privilege and conduct regular reviews of access permissions.

Security Automation and Orchestration:

  • Develop and implement automation and orchestration processes to streamline security configurations and responses within the SaaS environment.
  • Identify opportunities for automation to improve efficiency and reduce security risks.

Incident Response and Forensics:

  • Collaborate with the incident response team to develop and execute response plans specific to SaaS-related security incidents.
  • Conduct forensic investigations to identify the root cause of security incidents within the SaaS environment.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required from an accredited, not for profit university or college (preferably in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field)
  • A track record of commitment to prior employers
  • 5+ years total experience in engineering, including a minimum of 3 years in Security specific roles
  • Proven experience in implementing and managing SaaS posture management solutions.
  • Strong understanding of SaaS security principles, including configuration management and access controls.
  • Experience with SaaS application integration and deployment.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements related to SaaS applications.
  • Familiarity with IAM principles and practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

  • Relevant certifications such as Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). Experience with leading SaaS platforms, such as Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Salesforce, etc. Scripting and automation skills for SaaS security tasks.

The Senior Identity and Access Management Engineer will be responsible for the service design, build and documentation all key elements of Hertz IAM and supporting infrastructure and services that are part of the overall authentication and authorization infrastructure of Hertz. It is incumbent upon the Identity and Access Management Senior Engineer to ensure uniformity of services, adherence to standards, and consistency of infrastructure delivery. The Senior Engineer works with external partners to deliver quality services to Internal and External Customers. Follow the deployment processes, which includes Build and Transition of all new initiatives, and includes phase gates reviews for key stakeholders, Maintains an understanding of all current and emerging Identity and Access Management technologies, open system standards, management technologies as they relate to the support of Hertz infrastructure, Identifies and assumes an ownership role of Identity and Access Management Infrastructure, project delivery and security management, Provide leadership and act as a senior level mentor and provide support to technical personnel for any/all issues regarding service design, implementation, education and support of Identity and Access Management infrastructure and availability, Stays current on regional application and infrastructure projects to maintain effective availability and global consistency amongst regional infrastructure, integration, and configuration, Gathers project/application requirements from customers and stakeholders, Help define support requirements and management infrastructure, Develops, documents, and supports scripts required to deliver a variety of Identity synchronization solutions., Ensures that third party solutions follow all Hertz standards, Provides senior management and general staff with accurate and complete status information, Sponsors, orchestrates, and implements technology pilots to evaluate emerging technologies and their applicability in support of Hertz business requirements and strategic goals., Adheres to all current Change and Problem management policies and procedures, Additional responsibilities include participation in global 7x24 support model, planning and organization of projects, tasks, and support initiatives as assigned

Core Technical Skills Required:

  • Minimum 6 to 8 years of relevant practical experience in Identity and Access Management production support of large-scale, global environments supporting over 20,000 users and globally diversified application authentication requirements., Experience in Saviynt Identity Cloud platform or similar technology including but not limited to configuring UAR, application access, and SOD, Understanding of B2B and B2C identity management, Experience with Identity Management Solutions such as Azure and Okta, Experience in Active Directory (AD) and working knowledge of tools currently available to support AD, Experience with Microsoft 365 integration and provisioning including Azure AD and AD Connect, Experience in Active Directory Group Policy Objects (GPO), Experience implementing AD audit, logging, and monitoring policies, Experience in MFA, SSO, Conditional Access, Experience with implementing and supporting Public Key Infrastructures including Active Directory Certificate Services (AD CS) and external PKI providers, Experience with implementing role-based access, Strong scripting skills in PowerShell and understanding of VBScript, Knowledge of Web authentication such as OAuth, API-token, OpenID, SAML, REST, Directories, etc., Experience with Identity Management Solutions such as Azure and Okta, Knowledge of web authentication such as OAuth, API-token, OpenID, SAML, REST, Directories, etc., Possess a working knowledge and experience with Privilege Access Management solutions, Knowledge of Windows Server version 2016 and above, as well as Microsoft client operating systems, General Skills and Competencies Required:

This role is client-facing and requires the Principal Consultant to lead and produce deliverables based on reactive services client engagements. The Principal Consultant will work directly with multiple customers and key stakeholders (Admins, C-Suite, etc) to manage incident response engagements and provide guidance on longer term remediation.

  • Perform reactive incident response functions including but not limited to - host-based analysis functions through investigating Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X systems to identify Indicators of Compromise (IOCs)
  • Examine firewall, web, database, and other log sources to identify evidence of malicious activity
  • Investigate data breaches leveraging forensics tools including Encase, FTK, X-Ways, SIFT, Splunk, and custom Crypsis investigation tools to determine source of compromises and malicious activity that occurred in client environments
  • Manage incident response engagements to scope work, guide clients through forensic investigations, contain security incidents, and provide guidance on longer term remediation recommendations
  • Ability to perform travel requirements as needed to meet business demands (on average 20%)
  • Mentorship of team members in incident response and forensics best practices

Your Experience

  • 6+ years of incident response or digital forensics consulting experience with a passion for cyber security
  • Strong leadership skills including experience managing a team or individuals
  • Experience with leading complicated engagements including scoping, interfacing with the client, and have executed on a technical front
  • Proficient with host-based forensics and data breach response
  • Experienced with EnCase, FTK, X-Ways, SIFT, Splunk, Redline, Volatility, WireShark, TCPDump, and open source forensic tools
  • Incident response consulting experience required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Digital Forensics, Cyber Security or related field or equivalent military experience required
  • Identified ability to grow into a valuable contributor to the practice and, specifically
  • have an external presence via public speaking, conferences, and/or publications
  • have credibility, executive presence, and gravitas
  • be able to have a meaningful and rapid delivery contribution
  • have the potential and capacity to understand all aspects of the business and an excellent understanding of PANW products
  • be collaborative and able to build relationships internally, externally, and across all PANW functions, including the sales team

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $151,400/yr to $208,100/yr.
