  • You will provide advanced post-sales engineering support for Arista's DANZ Monitoring Fabric (DMF) monitoring and Converged Cloud Fabric (CCF) networking deployments for our enterprise and commercial customers.
  • Shadow current field Systems Engineers (SE) and Advanced Services Engineers (ASE) and assist with day to day customer tasks.
  • Assist with migration or interconnect to/from other monitoring and networking vendor products into an Arista infrastructure.
  • Assist with configuration build-outs including creating network provisioning automation using Python and tools such as Ansible.
  • Assist in hands-on work with customers during product evaluations, deployments, and post-sales support.
  • Assist in hands-on tests to validate customer proof-of-concept setups, network designs, and network deployments using new products and features. Demonstrate Arista key technical differentiators in the lab.
  • Assist with proof of concepts (POC) and in-depth testing to validate design scenarios.
  • Provide bug scrubs and code recommendations for customers. Provide an interface to TAC, internal development teams, and the customer.
  • Provide customer advice regarding architectural questions, product prerequisites, product features, etc.
  • Assist Pre-Sales Engineer and Account Executives with designing monitoring and network solutions.
  • Maintain professional relationships with teammates, partners, and clients.
  • Some travel may be required within assigned territory.

Required Qualifications

  • BS/CS/CE degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years experience providing post-sales engineering support for monitoring and/or networking solutions.
  • Basic script & programming skills background such as PERL, PYTHON, Web 2.0 etc.
  • Networking knowledge (Ethernet, VLANs, VxLAN, EVPN, IP Routing, TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, eBGP, Multicast, QoS, etc.) with hands-on experience.
  • Basic technical background in UNIX systems.
  • Fluent in English (verbal and written).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, self-start, work in a dynamic team environment and work independently.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with network tap aggregation, network packet broker and monitoring tools is a plus.
  • Ability to write technical papers is a plus.
  • Internship in a technical field or Sales is preferred.
  • Travel to local customer sites and Arista offices.

  • Develop a risk-based cyber security program which meets regulatory requirements and aligns with industry leading information security practices.
  • Perform threat identification and mitigation activities using industry leading security controls and tools sets.
  • Advance the Company’s cyber threat and vulnerability management program to ensure consistent identification, analysis, response, and monitoring of cyber security threats, events, and vulnerabilities.
  • Assess threats to the business and deploy countermeasures for those threats.
  • Collaborate with business units, application development teams, and third-party vendors to achieve program requirements while enabling the business.
  • Apply technical knowledge to protect the Company against cyber threats (e.g., knowledge of firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, data loss prevention solutions, endpoint protections, log aggregation technology and other leading-edge security technologies).
  • Facilitate cross team coordination to achieve defined security goals as well as meet technical requirements in support of detailed implementation plans for security projects.
  • Manage security projects to ensure the timely, on budget, and effective implementation of cyber security improvements that are operationally supported with validation methods in place to measure effectiveness.
  • Perform assessment of cyber security incidents to identify the root cause, respond, and recover the environment.
  • Develop strategies, policy and standards to protect company information and technology assets.
  • Manage capital and operational expense budgets to ensure accurate forecasting and administration.

Required Qualifications:

  • At least 3 - 5 years of experience
  • Possess expertise in valuing and implementing industry standards such as the ISO 27001/2, SOC 2, HITRUST and FedRAMP Information Security standard and the ISO 22301 Business Continuity Standard.
  • Experience with implementation and operational use of GRC toolsets (Governance Risk and Compliance).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Possess CISSP certification (or similar) and be knowledgeable of national and international regulatory compliances and frameworks such as ISO, SOX, BASEL II, EU DPD, HIPAA, and PCI DSS.

Summary

Sentinel is seeking a Senior Network Security Solution Analyst to join our deployment team.   • Design and deploy secure network solutions for mid to enterprise-level client environments throughout the Chicagoland area.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience working with Cisco, Palo Alto, and/or Fortinet solutions.
  • 3+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing wired LAN solutions in enterprise environments is required.
  • Proficiency configuring, deploying, and upgrading Cisco Catalyst series switches, including but not limited to, 2k, 3k, and 9k series is required.
  • Proficiency configuring, deploying, and upgrading Cisco routing platforms, including but not limited to, ISR 4k and Catalyst 8k platforms is required.
  • Working knowledge of dynamic routing protocols, including EIGRP, OSPF, or BGP is required.
  • Solid understanding of network protocols, including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and VLANs is required.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work in a team environment and with client stakeholders is required.
  • Exceptional customer relations skills required.
  • A valid driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance will be required.
  • The candidate must have a car, as this position requires travel between location and the transportation of equipment.
  • Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
  • Must demonstrate a “can-do” attitude.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in designing, implementing, and managing WAN solutions in enterprise environments strongly encouraged.
  • Strong knowledge of Cisco wireless technologies, including Cisco Aironet access points, wireless LAN controllers, and/or Meraki wireless a plus.
  • Experience working with Cisco, Palo Alto, and/or Fortinet solutions is a plus.
  • Experience deploying and using Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) a plus.
  • Cisco ACI and SD WAN experience is a plus
  • Firewall experience, including managing security policies, NAT rules, and NGFW features a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Vendor certifications such as CCNP or CCIE or equivalent are preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is preferred.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
