Summary

As a Sales Engineer initially covering North Central USA you will be the frontline subject matter expert and hands-on evangelist of SECURITI.ai products with customers and partners. You will be trusted for explaining value proposition & technical differentiation of our products to customers, understanding their requirements, showing insightful demos, running successful POCs and deployments and helping to win business.

Leveraging partners to drive growth, you will also work closely with sales, product management, engineering, and marketing teams.

You would have 3-5 years recent experience in Enterprise Sales including Data Protection or Cyber Security, as well as a strong understanding and connections with channel partners covering the region.

  • Helping win and keep customers, by providing them technical insights and making their POCs and deployments successful
  • Lead all technical presentations and discussions with customers, as the subject-matter expert
  • Perform demos to show product capabilities and differentiation
  • Perform proof of concepts and deployments
  • Respond promptly to customer questions with detailed technical explanations
  • Collaborate with sales, product management, and product marketing teams
  • Stay on top of the technical sales cycle to help win customers
  • Provide insights about customer requirements to product management and product development

Required Qualifications

  • Passion and ability to learn new technologies and implement them in customer environments
  • Excellent communication and persuasion skills
  • Solid understanding of on-premise and cloud-based data platforms
  • Strong experience for implementing complex data projects with large enterprises
  • Strong understanding of compliance, privacy, and security of data
  • 5+ years of proven hands-on experience with large enterprises

Preferred Qualifications

  • Good domain knowledge of compliance, cybersecurity & privacy

The User Research team is part of Rubrik's Design team and works across many types of product initiatives at Rubrik to more effectively and efficiently deliver products and experiences that fulfill user needs. We're a close-knit, collaborative group, guided by a highly iterative user-centered design process. About the role:

We’re looking for a Senior User Researcher to join our team. In this role you’ll work closely with Product Designers, User Researchers, Product Managers and Developers bringing customer insights into every phase of the product development process, ensuring all the stakeholders have the data they need to build the next generation of Rubrik’s customer centric products and services. You’ll have the opportunity to influence product direction and address unmet customer needs in this exciting and rapidly growing space.

Our research work ranges from formative, evaluative studies, rigorous usability studies, to data analytics. You should have broad skills in user research, product research, and design research methods and a thorough understanding of qualitative and quantitative research concepts.

  • Help set the bar for a consumer grade design
  • Create a deep understanding and empathy for our target customers through field research, surveys, personas, and other methods that you identify to be most effective
  • Work closely and in full collaboration with design, dev, and product teams to identify research topics, and build a research roadmap; communicate and refresh on a regular basis to ensure relevancy
  • Ability to identify appropriate methodological framework given the problem space and/or research question
  • Ability to independently manage research recruitment and scheduling logistics
  • Ability to work within time constraints, shifting and competing priorities and schedules
  • Ability to synthesize findings and make design/product recommendations
  • Ability to develop metrics that appropriately reflect the user experience quality of a feature, product, or system
  • Communicate results and recommendations, and advocate on behalf of our customers

Required qualifications:

  • 4+ years experience working within an enterprise company, researching consumer, enterprise and/or mobile user experiences
  • End-to-end experience with all aspects of research (study design, recruiting, moderation, analysis, reporting and analytical tools) across multiple products areas and departments
  • Experience with managing a complex workload and prioritizing in accordance with business priorities
  • Experience with storytelling with data, storytelling styles, delivery mechanisms, tools, and visualizations and presenting to cross-functional teams
  • An online portfolio or work samples will need to be provided

Preferred qualifications:

  • B.A/B.S or MS / Phd in Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, HCI, or a related field

The minimum and maximum base salaries for this role are posted below; additionally, the role is eligible for bonus potential, equity and benefits. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the role based on U.S. location. Within the range, the salary offered will be determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

  • Strong understanding of IT leadership priorities, including data security, compliance, cloud, and AI trends.
  • Experience managing a multi-state customer portfolio, ensuring customer satisfaction and revenue growth.
  • Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and consultative sales skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote role with regional travel.
