Position Description:

Cohere Technology has an exciting opportunity for a Cyber Planner supporting the Defense Threat Reduction Agency’s (DTRA) Advance Red Cyber program in executing Red Team Assessments. Red Teams perform assessments from an adversarial viewpoint and use the full spectrum of identified adversarial capabilities, limited only by restrictions mandated by the customer and legal, safety, and security constraints, to test and evaluate protection strategies and demonstrate exploitation of identified vulnerabilities. The **Cyber ** Planner has the opportunity to be a liaison between customers, external stakeholders, assessment site POCs, and DTRA’s technical SMEs in order to maximize the effectiveness and safety of cyber assessments.

  • Liaises between customers, external stakeholders, assessment site POCs, and DTRA’s technical SMEs in order to maximize the effectiveness and safety of cyber assessments.
  • Understands customer assessment objectives and the technical requirements necessary to meet those objectives.
  • Ensures the rules of engagement for cyber assessments abide by all applicable DoD and DTRA policies and procedures.
  • Drafts, coordinate, and maintain assessment-specific documents for network connection authorization, rules of engagement, and trusted agent agreements for assigned cyber activities.
  • During assessments, act as the primary liaison between DTRA’s technical SMEs and assessment customers and trusted agents, facilitating answers to questions or concerns that may arise during an assessment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Experience:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Desired Skills:

  • 1+ years’ experience coordinating cyber assessments, cyber operations, or mission assurance assessments.
  • Experience as well as familiarity with red teaming, mission assurance, cyberspace operations, and/or cybersecurity

Security Clearance:

Top Secret

Position Requirements:

CLEARANCE:  Top Secret (TS), TS/SCI preferred.

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

Typical office environment, extensive domestic and international travel, extreme weather conditions.   • 3+ years of experience administrating sensitive operational and developmental networks and systems in accordance with DoD cybersecurity policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Experience managing Windows Active Directory environments, hypervisors, Linux and Windows virtual machines, & Apache Web Servers.
  • Experience with AWS Cloud Instances.
  • Experience managing networking firewalls.
  • Experience with microservices (Kubernetes) and infrastructure as code (IAC) (e.g., Terraform), and containerization (e.g., Docker)

  • Experience with configuring, scanning, monitoring, alerting and reporting security tools.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+years of experience supporting the continuous monitoring and risk mitigation of sensitive networks and systems.
  • Certification such as CISSP, CSA, Sec+, CySA+, GCWN, GCED or CEH
  • Experience with PCAP collection.
  • Experience as a SOC analyst.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CLEARANCE: Top Secret (TS), TS/SCI preferred.
