Athena Technology Group (ATG) is seeking a Cybersecurity Administrator III to join our SCITES 2 team at Miami, FL. The Cybersecurity Administrator III primary function is to support the SCITES 2 Cybersecurity program.

  • Cybersecurity Administrator III is responsible for overseeing the management of the cybersecurity infrastructure, including the design, installation, configuration, and maintenance of advanced security tools.
  • They will be responsible for developing and executing sophisticated monitoring and response strategies for network traffic and system logs, ensuring robust protection against security incidents.
  • They spearhead the creation and implementation of security policies and procedures, conduct thorough security audits and vulnerability assessments, and devise and implement effective risk mitigation strategies.
  • They administer and maintain a variety of security tools and technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), endpoint detection and response (EDR), security information and event management (SIEM) systems, vulnerability scanners, and data loss prevention (DLP) solutions.
  • They implement and maintain security configurations for operating systems, applications, and network devices.
  • They conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • They develop and maintain comprehensive security documentation, including policies, procedures, and standards.
  • They participate in the incident response process, including identifying, analyzing, and containing security incidents.
  • They conduct forensic investigations to determine the root cause of security incidents.
  • They collaborate with other teams to recover from security incidents and implement preventative measures.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field.
  • CompTIA Security+. CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional).
  • 9 years of position-specific relevant experience.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with a variety of security tools and technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, EDR, SIEM, etc.).
  • Experience with security hardening and configuration management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation.
  • Familiarity with cloud security concepts and technologies.

Overview

SimVentions, consistently voted one Virginia's Best Places to Work, is looking for an experienced cybersecurity professional to join our team! This individual will provide support to the Information System Security Manager (ISSM) as an Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) or Information System Security Officer (ISSO).

  • Provide Information Systems Security Engineer/Officer (ISSE/ISSO) in support of Risk Management Framework (RMF) Authorization and other ISSE/ISSO responsibilities in accordance with applicable NSA, DoD, and DoN policies
  • Perform annual security reviews.
  • Manage Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) entries and ensure vulnerabilities are properly tracked, mitigated, and resolved
  • Plan and perform cybersecurity testing to assess security controls and record security control compliance status as required
  • Conduct vulnerability and compliance management and scanning in support of continuous monitoring efforts

Required Qualifications:

  • DoD 8140 IAT Level III or IAM Level III certification
  • In-depth understanding of computer security, military system specifications, and DoD cybersecurity policies
  • Strong ability to communicate clearly and succinctly in written and oral presentations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Xacta experience is highly desirable
  • Bachelor's Degree in technical/cybersecurity field is preferred

Compensation

Compensation at SimVentions is determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, education, training, security clearance, work location, skills, knowledge, and competencies, as well as alignment with our corporate compensation plan and contract specific requirements.

The projected annual compensation range for this position is $120,000.00-$175,000.00 (USD). This estimate reflects the standard salary range for this position and is just one component of the total compensation package that SimVentions offers.
